Public relations

Public relations activities include everything from producing a press release to advertising senior corporate executives on communication strategies.
Public relations services include: communication research, public affairs, crisis management, consumer marketing, media, employee, community relations and media monitoring.

The agency’s involvement with Coca-Cola began with the privatization of El Nasr Bottling Company and Joint Venture Investments – one of the largest privatization transaction in Egypt. Activities included: developing key messages to Coca-Cola’s employees, press release drafting and distribution, development and implementation of briefing events, creation of workforce and dealer communications materials and organizing special events.

The agency designed a brochure for Coca-Cola’s dealers throughout Egypt, produced a documentary for drivers, organized a training session for the new customer service department and held laser sound and light receptions for prominent Egyptian business men and for Coca-Cola’s distributors.

During the latter part of 1992, Egypt experienced a wave of violent terrorist acts aimed at tourists.  Burson-Marsteller and the agency was appointed by the Ministry of Tourism to implement a six-month public relations and crisis management multi-marketing  program. Six regional Burson-Marsteller offices along with the agency coordinated efforts to revive the tourism industry- Egypt's highest source of foreign currency revenue.

The core of the program involved coordinating the release of strategic press materials in all markets, organizing and implementing visits by key international media, developing backgrounders and press kits on Egypt, Q&A documents and arranging press trips for leading senior government officials. The clear and specific objective of quickly generating pro-active material on Egypt's image in five European countries (Italy, U.K., France, Germany, and Spain plus the United States) was quickly realized.

A pronounced positive shift in international media coverage (especially in the target countries) including television, radio, newspapers and magazines was monitored and showed radical improvements from previous months; while ensuring minimum negative exposure.

The agency worked closely with the client to develop visuals and templates for a Talk Book and PowerPoint presentation giving an overview of the project.

Current tasks being handled are video documentation, media relations, and the development of a web site.

CHL Mass Wedding

This program aims to reposition the Ask-Consult campaign to encompass Family Healthy as opposed to just FP and RH services. New services have been added over time to include: Healthy Mother / Healthy Child, STD's, Healthy Lifestyles and Health Reform.

To kick off the program; the agency organized a festive mass wedding celebration in Minia in 2005. This event, which was celebrated by 150 brides and grooms and attended by 10,000 guests, received extensive PR coverage on national and local TV as well as Al Jezira and the national newspapers and magazines.

The agency worked closely with the client to secure sponsorship from Procter and Gamble, Vodafone, Toshiba, Enjoy juices, and Sila edible oil.

The assignment was given on a very short deadline and the agency had to create and execute a campaign involving press ads and editorials, radio and TV programs as well as events management at clubs, universities and large institutes during the difficult month of Ramadan.  The program also effectively utilized mobile trucks which were also used to distribute flyers and produce sales leads in Cairo and Alexandria.
